Katie Holmes may be beginning to realize just how much marrying the Cruisemeister screwed her career as tickets for her Broadway show are proving extremely sluggish to sell. It turns out that just being the wife of a crazed midget isn't enough to make sophisticated theatergoers buy tickets.
It seems that organizers have confused the section of society that buys tabloids with the section of society that dons mink coats and toddles off to the theater. Theater going types don't care to drop a few hundred dollars going to see an ex teen actress trying to rekindle a career which was killed before it really began.
Star Magazine sources reported: "To the theater going crowd, generally an older audience, Katie's not a 'name' like Julia Roberts, whose run in Three Days of Rain sold out immediately. Katie hasn't done anything Broadway patrons recognize her for ” except maybe marrying Tom Cruise."
