Mary Kate and Ashley have extended their hold on the teenie age group, and it has been revealed that last year they made 40 million dollars. This is especially amazing when you consider that they didnt seem to even do anything last year.
What they did do amounted to dressing weirdly, looking gaunt, and apparently learning to write strangely fond essays about their handbags, which the New York Times then publishes. Read this stunningly deep expose into the heart and mind of Mary Kate:

I have a large, red quilted Chanel bag that I borrowed from my sister Ashley. I wore it to an event and never gave it back. Luckily, shes moved on to another bag, so Im safe for now. Im not quite sure how many bags I have, but lets just say I have a few. When I find a bag I like, I tend to wear it to death until I become obsessed with another one. This probably happens three to five times a year. But I always come back to the Chanel. The size isnt overwhelming, and it has enough subtle detail to keep it interesting. I also have the smaller version in blue and in white, but the red is definitely my favorite. I dont have a stylist — Id rather just do my own thing and put together my own outfits. The chain-handle bag is the perfect accent to almost any combination I come up with. I look at everything with a designers eye, but I wouldnt change a thing about this bag. I think thats why its a true classic.
Essentially this is like reading the scrawls of some grade school kid, except instead of being about a cat named kitty, its about something even less worthwhile. If this is the peak of Hollywoods talent, then were in a very sad state indeed.
