Ty Pennington joined the long line of celebrities who just aren´t getting it through their thick heads that drinking whilst driving, or drinking before driving and then driving whilst drunk is a really fucking bad idea. If this keeps up they are going to have to introduce a special drunk celebrity wing in LA prisons to accommodate the stream of sozzled celebs making their way there.
If you don´t know who Ty Pennington is, then you´ve clearly never been subjected to the unbearable cheesiness that is Extreme Makeover, The Home Edition, where Ty and his crew of designers get REALLY emotional every week over people whose houses have mold, or are in wheelchairs and things.
These guys are do gooders on the sort of crack that Lindsay would love to get her hands on, which is fine, but made completely unbearable by their smug tears of self satisfaction. Ty made a suitably ´heartfelt´ and ´responsible´ statement on his behavior.
"I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused."
