Views: 2718 So, what the hell exactly did go wrong at the VMA´s? Britney´s fan site is doing a little damage control, and came up with particularly lame reasons like the fact that the hotel apparently freaked out because the stage couldn´t support the original act, and MTV freaked out because the performance was supposedly too controversial.
Here´s what they said: "Britney Spears was to perform under the magic of Chris Angel... but MTV freaked out at the last minute finding out what Britney was actually going to do.
Supposedly, what Britney and Chris were planning was to do a set of mirrors and flotation. But when told to the Palms Hotel/Casino... the hotel flipped.
Insurance was the main problem, and the stage couldn´t support the performance. MTV also freaked at the last minute because of their fear of being "too controversial" during the performance. Britney and Chris were infact furious with MTV´s sad excuse and told Britney to change the performance at the last minute.
Britney´s original performance was to infact appear and disappear. To float through the air... and for much mature dancing. "
Sounds like a load of bullshit to me. They´ve been rehearsing this thing for weeks, surely they had the logistics and specifics worked out long before last night. Nope, seems like a certain magician just couldn´t find his dick on the night, but because he is magic, managed to screw Britney anyway.
