Mariah Carey Takes Perfume Way Too Seriously
If you read about P.Diddy's bet that he's going to beat a whole lot of girls at selling perfume, then this is going to make a lot of sense. If you didn't, then you're practically all caught up anyway. Mariah Carey actually responded to the schmo, and she had this to say about their great perfume sales war:
"I heard about this competition, and I wish Puff all the best with his new fragrance, but I think we're actually appealing to different types of women. M by Mariah Carey is about being unforgettable, not unforgivable. It's not about a m©nage trois or a one night stand, it's for the woman who wants the man to fall in love with her immediately, stay in love, and treat her like royalty."
People, it's perfume, it's not a way of life, it's not going to define how you are treated in relationships, the only thing your perfume will define about you is the way you freakin' smell.
Seriously, the way people actually start to believe marketing blurbs is unbelievable. The truly sad thing is that there will be some women who buy both perfumes and wear each one based on whether they feel like being a whore or being cherished eternally. Because, you know, both have their ups and downs.
