Also utterly loaded. Shakira has given away $40 Million dollars to help rebuild areas in Latin America that have been struck by natural disasters recently. I'm not sure exactly where those areas are, as they weren't all that widely reported anywhere. I guess there's just not enough oil or sexy topless women there to garner international attention on a grand scale.
Shakira says: "I've seen first-hand many of the challenges facing Latin America. These are challenging problems that no one person can address, but working together everyone can help make a difference."
Now, for a woman who is also a MENSA member, that's a rather generic and garbled statement. She's seen challenges that are challenging problems? I guess you get that when you have the problems that are challenging, because uh, you know, they're pretty problematic, and that's a challenge.
