Stay Away From Mariah Carey
You can look, but don't you touch. Mariah Carey recently released her new perfume in New York and had a big party to celebrate it. Fans (ie, creepy normal people) could even pay the entirely reasonable fee of $300 to gain access to the VIP area, where Mariah was. That was as close as they were getting though, Mariah banned all hugs during picture time, so the lucky fans were simply allowed to stand in her aura. That's totally worth 300 bucks I'd say.
Some fans tried to go too far and touch their idol, and were kicked out for their insolence. Mimi is like a queen, you do not touch the queen, even if she is effectively whoring herself out for $300 a pop.
Of course, Mariah is well known for being ever so slightly nutzo. There was that whole nervous breakdown thing, and to this day she apparently still sleeps in a humid tend which ensures that she doesn't dry out during the night.
