Britney Spearsī Album Flops
So Britney Spears' album is a big fat flop. Blackout sold only 430,000 copies in the first month of its release. I'm shocked. After all the effort Spears put into promoting this thing? Oh wait, that's right, she didn't promote it at all, she stayed home and ate fried chicken instead. Well, I guess that makes a little more sense now.
Some of you might remember the interview that Ryan Seacrest did with Britney the day after her album was launched. Britney Spears was in bed, barely coherent, and seeming a tad confused by the constant mention of all this 'album' business. When asked what promotion they would be undertaking in the following days, her new 'manager' cackled like a demented witch and declared 'this is it!'
Good tactic guys. Maybe for the next album she could do a little more wandering around in sweatpants with her mouth perpetually open, that seems to be working a treat as well.
