Does this look like a woman who is no longer a danger to herself? I don't know about you, but I'd say this looks like a woman who needs a nice padded room to bang about in. It turns out that Britney's psychiatrist and the hospital she was being held at agree, but a lawyer managed to get Britney released yesterday in spite of the fact that she is clearly quite mad. Apparently when people are held against their will, a court appointed lawyer interviews the hospital and the patient to see if it is justified. In this case, that court appointed referee decided that Britney was no danger to herself and should be set free.
There's no word on who this person actually was, but I'm guessing it was either a daemon or a retarded person. My goldfish knows that Britney isn't sane enough to be released, but this guy/girl decided that she should roam free.
Britney's parents issued the following statement after her release: "As parents of an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe.
"We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."
