I guess that might help tidy up the whole international adoption scandal side of things that has been plaguing her ever since she bought baby David home. Malawi´s deputy culture and tourism minister said: "We are proud as a country to be associated with such a mega star. She will have freedom of all cities here. She won´t be bothered with issues like visas and other limitations."
Other limitations like illegal adoption eh? Good on Madonna. It´s only taken several years, the growing of legendary biceps and multiple lesbian kissing outbreaks to ensure her place in Malawian society.
I´m not sure that citizenship is really what Madonna was after however. She´s probably disappointed that they´re not putting up statues to her and worshiping her as a god. Isn´t that supposed to be what happens when rich white people trot off to poor African nations and spread their benevolent largesse around?

Well, I guess this was bound to happen. Over the years, Madonna has pretended to be a member of every other ethnic group on the planet. It´s just Africa´s turn to be humiliated by having this attention grabbing (fill in the blank) claim to be one of them.
